King Maker Campaign - The Moment

This is part 1 of a digital painting commission I completed for my good friend Joie and her husband Damion. They have been playing Kingmaker game together as a couple and they wanted a couple art pieces that tell the story of their characters romance. Kingmaker is a Pathfinder Tabletop RPG campaign type in which players can create their own kingdom from the ground up, dealing with all the economic, military and political responsibilities that come with being a king (and queen). She is a Dwarven gunslinger and he an Ulfen bard paladin.

This first painting is of the first night they first realized how they felt about each other back when they were lowly adventurer out to make a name for themselves. It is full of all kinds of small details that were very important to them. Everything from the kinds of clothes they were wearing, the equipment they have, and the presence of the True Love's Shot, the golden arrow with the ruby head that symbolizes their romance.
